Citizen mapping: impact of crowd-sourced contributions on local populations

I was invited along with Omer Sheikh, a fellow mapper, to highlight our mapping efforts through Google Map Maker during a couple of natural disasters, which helped relief and rescue efforts on the ground for agencies such as UNITAR/UNOSAT.
